While cutting paper for some upcoming workshops, I took a slice of my left thumb away. I won't be able to handle paper cleanly for a few days but this one was already scanned (with an appropriate title). Here you can clearly see the difference in work on Indian Village paper (here) and Fabriano paper (last few).

Ssss! Ouch! Hope the thumb recovers quickly. What a difference paper makes, you are very wise getting to know their qualities so well. I tend to grab the first one to hand and then am either delighted or disappointed in the unpredictable results. As always, you make me ache to get back to watercolours.
I like the texture and depth you get with this paper but love the fluidity and softness of the other. So I guess you'll have to keep painting on both :) Sure hope the thumb recovers soon with little problem for you.
