Time is rushing by in my world. Can barely believe it's been so long since posting last. Lots of changes afoot. A guest arriving. My own preparations for two weeks of workshops in California. And the weather has suddenly switched to summer. I've been busy in the garden. Planting, transplanting, helping transplants recover, nursing seedlings, watering, herding cats (yes, I do this), and all the time consuming necessities of earning my keep.
Yesterday, for example, I taught 5 classes of physical education to K-4th grades. Their lack of physical fitness was shocking - really! I coached 5 sessions, partaking in each, showing off for the sake of a good example. It probably won't surprise you that, afterward, I could not move from my day bed until it was time to move to my night bed. I wanted to pick up the paint brush but it will have to wait.
Afterglow is from earlier in the week. A slowly layered development.

A lovely, luminous painting. The colors are so serene and gentle. Is this a different paper from our usual?
Oh my Suzanne, just reading about your day makes me exhausted... Good for you, though. Good luck with the workshops - very exciting!
Thanks, Mineke. Yes, these last three paintings are on Fabriano cold press. I go back and forth between them. January 21-February 4 were all done on Fabriano.
Always vey inspiring!
Saludos
A beautifully soft, meandering painting - doesn't appear as if time is rushing there, as it certainly is here. All your activity astounds me - I could do with your workshops as well as your phys.ed classes - it is frightening how little exercise children get in this computer age, though, in cities at least.
NoNo! So glad you came by. It's great to hear from you. You inspire me, too!
Hi Cathy. I'm afraid that I don't think I could teach you a thing! And your life sounds even busier than mine! Well, at least that one shot at PE coaching gave me a good start for the summer.
Hi Suzanne, wonderful watercolors. Your loose style is beautiful and unique!
Welcome, Fabio! I can see that your work is beautiful and unique, too - from my quick glimpse at your blog. I'll be over for a longer look later. Thanks for coming by.
This is magical, Suzanne! Sorry to hear about your sore muscles but you had to show them, yes? So sad so many of our kids are so overweight and out of shape already. It's hard enough to fight the battle once you pass 40! Good for you, getting them moving! And thanks for letting me know I had your URL incorrectly listed - have fixed it now :)
Thanks, Rhonda!
Glad to see you are back Suzanne and producing some beautiful work!
Thank you, Deborah! I'm glad you came by.
