The Home Place
Co. Donegal, Ireland
Watercolor on Lana hotpress, 7 x 10
Commission 2008
I came across the files of a commission I received earlier this year. The commission was a gift for a special birthday and, as I recently received a thank you note, I know these are now safe to post.

This one of the five studies for the final piece went with the commission.
The study below, on Indian Village paper, I've kept for myself.

What a beautiful watercolor. I love the freshness of the colors and the little street that lead us into the green of the country.
Just perfect.
Thanks, Allessandro. I'm glad you came by!
Beautiful! Your clients should be very pleased. I'm glad you posted these, the studies are lovely too.
Hi Mineke. Yes, everyone is very pleased. I'd forgotten about the paintings till I received the thank you note, so I'm glad that came across the files and had a chance to post them.
so nice Suzanne, love that green!
Hi Dawn... Thank you.
I absolutely love these, Suzanne. I want to go down that road! Your greens are jewel-like and the rhythms of of your lines just exquisite!!
Thanks, Laura! I'm so glad you like these. It's interesting that I had this image with a road to work from when pathways of various sorts crop up in almost all of my personal work.
I felt a real pang when I looked at these - something beckoning to 'home'. As Laura said, the rythmic quality of your lines is just beautiful.
Thank you for echoing Laura's comment on linear rhythm, Cathy! That is very good quality for me to be reminded of.
