Hi Suzanne. I found your blogs through Don Gray's. Anyone who uses Kenneth Clark's title as the blog title gets my attention! Really lovely watercolors - I love the economy of strokes and elegant compositions. I also spent a happy hour or so last night reading the blog about the building of your studio- love that little day bed in the back alcove! Mine is currently bare drywall and cement floor, hence my intense interest! Click over to visit sometime. www.deborahparis-apaintinglife.blogspot.com
Great paintings you have there, I am a beginner in watercolors and your blog will inspire me a lot...
I hope that one day I will be as good as you :)
Thanks so much for visiting, Deborah and for your kind words. I've just enjoyed looking at your work, too. You are now in my sidebar!
Doudy! I'm happy to be an inspiration - that inspires me further. I really like your tonal studies in blue from Jan 12. When I teach beginning watercolor, we use raw sienna for that and I demo with Daniel Snith Quinacridone Gold which is a fabulous addition to all watercolor palettes. Keep up the good work and come back to visit.
Thanks Suzanne. I have added you to mine. Happy Painting!
